Description

Occupational Therapy (OT) is part of the biopsychosocial model of healthcare. It is parallel to the medical model of doctors and nurses. Occupational therapists are the experts in rehabilitative therapy alongside other allied health professionals such as physios and dieticians. OT interventions cover physical, cognitive, emotional, sensory, and psychosocial factors that mediate an individual’s successful engagement in life roles. The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable individuals to reach their highest level of meaningful activity. And it includes reducing their stress levels to experiencing overall well-being.
