Description

Orthodontics, also called orthodontics, is the particular branch of dentistry that studies the different anomalies of the constitution, development and position of the teeth and jaw bones. It aims to prevent, eliminate or mitigate these anomalies by maintaining or restoring the masticatory organs and the facial profile in the most correct position possible. Mechanical therapy: it is implemented through the construction of different types of devices that we can subdivide into: • Active devices: they act directly with their force when activated (e.g. devices with screws, arches, springs, etc.) • Passive devices: they exploit the masticatory forces being inactive per se (e.g. vestibular plate, inclined plane, etc.)
