the head end of the swab with your hand. - Gently insert the swab (usually 1/2 to3/4 of an inch) into the nostril.
Firmly and slowly brush against insides of nostril in a circular motion against
the nasal wall at least 5 times. Be sure to collect any nasal drainage on the
swab. Using the same swab, repeat the same sample collection procedure for the
other nostril, be sure to brush both nostrils with the same swab. - Remove the sealing aluminum foil from the buffer bottle, and place it
on the shelf. - Place the swab sample into the Tube (contains Extraction Buffer), touch
the bottom of the tube with the swab tip. Vigorously rotate and twist the swab
against the side of the tube at least 15 times. - Squeeze the sides of the extraction tube to obtain as much liquid as
possible and take out the swab. - Close the buffer cap and press it tightly, put the swab back into the
package. Safely dispose of the swab and the package. - Add 3 drops extracted sample from the Extraction Tube to the specimen
well of the COVID-19 Test Card. Waiting
for 15 minutes. - Read the results.
Result Interpretation
Positive
Two red lines appear, the control line (C) and the test line (T). The
result is positive.
Negative
Only the red control line (C) appears. The result is negative.
Invalid
If no red line appears in the position of control line (C), the test
result is invalid regardless of color on the test line (T). Insufficient
specimen volume or incorrect procedures are the most common reasons for control
line (C) failure. Review the procedure and repeat the test with a new test
device.
