Description

Deep groove bearings (single-row deep groove ball bearings) are the most typical forms of ball bearings (rolling bearings) and are the most widely used. They consist of a combination of raceway rings (inner and outer rings), balls, and a cage that supports the balls.

Basically, they are mainly designed to support radial loads (perpendicular to the axis), but they can also support axial loads in both directions.

It has a low coefficient of friction and is suitable for applications that require stable rotation.

The groove of the raceway ring is a circular arc slightly larger than the radius of the ball, so the ball and raceway ring are in point contact. Compared to plain bearings, the use of balls lowers the resistance to rotation, making them suitable for applications that require stable rotation.
