Molerumi

Description

Molerumi is a disposable molecular device designed to detect infectious diseases such as sexually transmitted disease (STDs), Zika, Dengue, and respiratory illnesses (including flu A and B, COVID-19, and RSV) in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). One of the first devices of its kind, it offers incredible performance at an affordable price, allowing clients in healthcare settings to manage workplace risk and infections rates more easily.

The implementation of point-of-care tests (POCTs) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) is complex, with many barriers due to wider health system weakness. In addition to pressing for broader structural change to facilitate basic healthcare delivery, these themes may also be used as a basis on which to develop future interventions.

The incidence rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including the four major curable STIs – chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, and syphilis – continue to increase globally, causing medical cost burden and morbidity especially in LMICs.
